Special Education Teacher

A middle school special education teaching position is available for the upcoming school year in Naperville, IL. This contract role is designed for an educator skilled in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic classroom setting.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs.
• Deliver specialized instruction that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to meet evolving goals.
• Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with all stakeholders.

• Valid Illinois teaching certification with an endorsement in special education.
• Experience working with middle school-aged learners in a special education capacity.
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies, behavioral management, and assessment methods specific to special education.
• Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
