Responsibilities

  • Design and implement features that improve user experiences across iOS devices, ensuring maintainability and extensibility.
  • Collaborate on feature roadmaps to deliver high-quality apps for our users.
  • Follow best practices in Swift, SwiftUI, and modern iOS architectures (e.g. MVVM-C, TCA).
  • Write unit tests with XCTest and Swift Testing to maintain quality & ensure robustness.
  • Stay updated with iOS trends and evaluate new technologies through prototypes and RFCs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth within the team.
  • Integrate third-party services securely, adhering to iOS security standards, Apple Developer best practices, and secure coding principles
  • Use secure storage solutions like Keychain for iOS.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge in Swift, SwiftUI, Concurrency, Memory Safety.
  • Experience with dependency injection, and component-based architecture.
  • Deep understanding of modern iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM-C, TCA, or similar. Familiarity with modularisation and composability strategies.
  • Proficiency in Git and version control practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Bitrise or Concourse.
  • Strong testing skills with XCTest or Swift Testing & swift-snapshot-testing.
  • Ability to identify and fix critical issues, bottlenecks and optimize performance in iOS applications using performance analysis tools like Instruments, Google Crashlytics or Dynatrace.
  • Familiarity with Apple Developer best practices, including secure app deployment and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, able to resolve complex challenges effectively. Proven ability to take ownership and responsibility for delivering projects end-to-end.
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills, working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers across multiple squads.
  • Passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing, helping grow junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Comfortable working in agile environments, collaborating effectively and adapting to change.
  • Proactive in removing bottlenecks, unblocking others, and enabling the team’s success.
