About the role
DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications; develop backend software using Go; develop data analysis software using Python; develop and maintain applications within databases including MySQL and DynamoDB; perform Unit Testing using GoMock, PyTEST, and GitHub Copilot; use AWS tools, including Lambda, S3, Athena, EC2, SageMaker, and Billing and Cost Management; use Docker for containerizing applications, deployment automation, and environment consistency; develop applications within an Agile development environment; build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Five (5) years of experience developing backend software using Go
- Developing data analysis software using Python
- Developing and maintaining applications within databases including MySQL
- Performing Unit Testing using GoMock and PyTEST
- Using Docker for containerizing applications, deployment automation, and environment consistency
- Developing applications within an Agile development environment
- Using Dynamo DB and GitHub Copilot
- Using AWS tools, including Lambda, S3, Athena, EC2, SageMaker, and Billing and Cost Management
- Building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
