About the role
Benefits Description We are seeking a confident and collaborative leader with strong management experience to provide oversight at Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health (OHBH). In this role, as a Chief Clinical Officer, you will provide oversight and leadership to experienced staff at OHBH. You will partner and work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the medical staff, along with Psychiatric Nurse Executives and the Nursing Department Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health is an inpatient psychiatric center located in the city of Tukwila, Washington, in King County. OHBH partners with individuals, families, advocates, community healthcare providers, Managed Care Organizations- Administrative Service Organizations, employee organizations, educational organizations, and local and state government systems to provide services to individuals in 19 western Washington counties. OHBH is a 136-bed state psychiatric facility located in Tukwila, Washington and is a center of excellence in the provision of inpatient psychiatric treatment. Telework is an option for this opportunity. King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use. Some of what you'll do: Plans, develops, and directs program operations and service delivery for OHBH’s psychiatric wards Ensures program operations and service provide for all patients currently housed in OHBH Identifies short and long-term organizational goals that are consistent with the OHBH’s mission and vision Tracks progress of goals and alters objectives based on progress Supervising and completing annual performance evaluations for managers from disciplines of Social Work, Psychology, and Rehabilitation Provides leadership and support for subordinate supervisors/managers Oversees census, admissions, transfers, therapeutic services, discharges, and staffing patterns Assures facility compliance with pertinent WAC’s and legal statutes Oversees and directs all clinical patient care and quality assurance activities related to meeting Washington State licensing standards Analyzes data to improve organizational performance Oversees personnel investigations and participates, as needed, in Human Resources/Labor Relations activities Participates in case reviews Oversees training services and programs offered to disciplines of Social Work, Psychology, and Rehabilitation
Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, and directs program operations and service delivery for OHBH’s psychiatric wards
- Ensures program operations and service provide for all patients currently housed in OHBH
- Identifies short and long-term organizational goals that are consistent with the OHBH’s mission and vision
- Tracks progress of goals and alters objectives based on progress
- Supervising and completing annual performance evaluations for managers from disciplines of Social Work, Psychology, and Rehabilitation
- Provides leadership and support for subordinate supervisors/managers
- Oversees census, admissions, transfers, therapeutic services, discharges, and staffing patterns

- Oversees personnel investigations and participates, as needed, in Human Resources/Labor Relations activities

Requirements
- Doctorate clinical degree from an accredited university or professional school in the field of behavioral sciences and valid WA state license in chosen profession
- At least five years (5) experience working with individuals with serious psychiatric disorders
- At least five years (5) supervisory experience
