Certified Medical Assistant Ortho

The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider.

• Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately
• Perform clinical intakes
• Aid in minor procedures as necessary per specialty
• Ensure practice flow by preparing patient and equipment for treatment
• Follow safety processes and policies to ensure proper care is given

• Minimum qualifications: 1 year of practical medical assisting experience and one of the medical assistant certifications listed below, OR Graduate of a medical assistant program in lieu of experience
