Software Engineer II – Office on Windows Performance Focus

The Office Growth and Experiences team (OGX) is an experienced and highly passionate group at Microsoft that builds and maintains end-to-end ownership of Office across all platforms.

• Performance Ownership: Execute & drive efforts to improve performance of Office on Windows, including design, coding, and extensive instrumentation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate across disciplines (e.g., PM, Design, Test) and geographies, ensuring we deliver end-to-end solutions efficiently.
• Data-Driven Development: Rely on telemetry and analytics to identify top performance bottlenecks.
• Quality & Stability: Contribute to designing robust test coverage for performance scenarios.
• Customer Success: Respond quickly to customer feedback & escalations and be proactive in identifying customer pain points and address them.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
