CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SPECIALIST 2 (In-training)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support criminal history record information
- Research open dispositions to ensure complete and accurate criminal history record information
- Disseminate criminal history record information to law enforcement agencies, criminal justice agencies, public and private sector employers, and the general public
- Interact with and provide information to law enforcement agencies, criminal justice agencies, non-criminal justice agencies, public and private sector employers, and the general public
- Assist in testing changes to criminal history record databases and train new employees
- Provide guidance on compiling, maintaining, correcting, and disseminating criminal history record information
- Serve as subject matter expert in the absence of unit Lead to criminal and non-criminal justice agencies and the public
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience maintaining or processing criminal history or offender records
- College level course work in criminal justice, business administration, accounting, social science, or a related field
- Must satisfactorily complete a background investigation including a polygraph examination
