About the role
We are seeking a strategically minded Senior Director and top notch problem solver to provide financial leadership to Capital One Software’s business. This person will sit on the Capital One Software leadership team and directly support members of our Executive Committee. This role will create business cases to help evaluate expected return on investment for various initiatives across the software business, including model creation, consolidation of results, and overall coordination of the process for both the business and in conjunction with Card Finance. This role requires strong customer focus and partnering abilities, problem solving, strategic thinking, executive level communication, and influencing skills in order to effectively: Articulate outcomes of analysis, along with relevant insights and recommendations Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization, specifically as we add new products Communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences Applies integrative thinking skills to help build a scalable software business Create guardrails to forecast revenue, and the marginal cost of adding new products Drives multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working closely with highly specialized subject matter experts across strategy, finance, and corporate development Communicates analytic insights through clear, high impact, “executive-ready” presentations Develops analytic frameworks to solve critical questions and guide strategic decision making Leverages sound business judgment and logic to evaluate analytical results and formulate recommendations Builds relationships across the organization by partnering with peers and senior leaders throughout the company Lead and build a team of associates to support the business
Responsibilities
- Applies integrative thinking skills to help build a scalable software business
- Create guardrails to forecast revenue, and the marginal cost of adding new products

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 12 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy Consulting, or a combination
- At least 2 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- At least 5 years of people management experience
