Actuary - Risk Adjustment

Ascension’s Actuarial team is seeking an Actuary to support our risk adjustment coding efforts. This is a great opportunity to apply your risk adjustment expertise to a mission-driven organization that is working to transform its care delivery processes.

• Develop risk adjustment insights & analyses for all lines of business (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
• Determine risk adjustment trend drivers, including changes in model version, changes in risk mix, and KPI performance
• Evaluate risk adjustment interventions, including provider education, patient outreach, HCC gap closer
• Track leading indicators through vendor platform & integrate findings into opportunity analyses
• Presenting analysis & findings to stakeholders, including operations, strategy, and finance leadership

• Associate Certification credentialed from the Society of Actuaries obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) is preferred
• High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Associate Certification credentialed from the Society of Actuaries obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries - Preferred
• 5-7 years total work experience - Highly Preferred
