About the role

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Process tickets via approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) to triage and resolve customer issues.
  • Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and maxOS workstations
  • Provision, Deploy, and troubleshoot bare-metal Windows and Linux servers
  • Configure, Deploy, and Replace network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Participate in hiring, training and development of others
  • Provide technical support for Kuiper Production, lab and launch Infrastructure, components, and associated software
  • Provide remote support for Kuiper employees and infrastructure worldwide
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades
  • Assist with project implementations and technology deployments
  • Drives engineering best practices (e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set standards.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure support experience
  • 3+ years of networking fundamentals
  • 3+ years of working with Clients and Servers
