Cardiovascular Invasive Technician

Responsible for performing a wide range of technical skills during various diagnostic cardiovascular, non-ablation electrophysiology, or interventional radiology procedures to ensure efficient, comfortable, and safe patient examinations.

• Perform a wide range of technical skills during various diagnostic cardiovascular, non-ablation electrophysiology, or interventional radiology procedures
• Ensure efficient, comfortable, and safe patient examinations
• Verify orders, facilitate implementation, and communicate with physicians as needed
• Administer and evaluate effectiveness of treatments and medications according to policy and training
• Respond appropriately in clinical emergencies and perform within the scope of practice for the position
• Maintain and operate equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization
• Produce accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions
• Train and supervise new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations
• Maintain accurate and secure medical records, following prescribed processes for documentation
• Demonstrate cross-functional abilities and leadership skills within the cardiovascular team
• Take scheduled emergency calls and responds in a timely manner

• Associate Required
• Bachelor's Preferred
• One or more years of Work Experience Required
• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
• Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy
• Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
• Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
• Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures
• Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures
• Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures
• Knowledge of peripheral intervention procedures
• Knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required and
• Registered Nurse (RN) Required or
• Registered Technologist - Radiography (RTR) Required or
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required or
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Required or
• Cardiovascular Interventional Tech Cert (CVIT) Required
