About the role
The Trauma/Stroke Program Coordinator has the authority to manage the Trauma and Stroke programs throughout the continuum of care and across multidisciplinary lines of service.
Responsibilities
- Manages the trauma and stroke programs to ensure effective implementation of the Performance Improvement (PI) plan.
- Reviews care delivered to trauma and stroke patients to identify areas for improvement.
- Identifies staff learning needs and collaborates with the Nursing Education Department to develop relevant educational activities.
- Collaborates with other clinical departments to enhance patient care and throughput.
- Ensures accurate and timely input of records into the Trauma/Stroke Registry.
Requirements
- Associate's of Nursing Required
- 2 Years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency, Critical Care or Trauma nursing Required but 5 Years is Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required
- Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) Strongly Preferred
