Radiology Student Extern

POSITION SUMMARY: The X-Ray Student Extern will assist licensed radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures under supervision, in accordance with clinical training objectives. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and enhance the student’s knowledge and skills in a clinical setting.

• Assists in providing nursing care to patients under general supervision
• Assists in assessment of physical, psychological and social dimensions of patients
• Assists in planning and implementing a formal plan of patient care
• Assists in evaluating nursing care provided
• Implements/documents clinical and technical aspects of care assignment in accordance with established policies and procedures and validated skills performance standards

• Minimum Education: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school radiology
• Minimum Experience: Successfully enrolled in radiology program
• Required Certification: BLS
