Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher

A middle school special education teaching opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide long-term substitute support in West Hartford, CT.

• Delivering specialized academic and life skills instruction to middle school students
• Planning lessons and utilizing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings
• Writing and updating IEP documentation based on student progress

• Connecticut Special Education licensure for grades 6-8 is mandatory
• Experience working with middle school students diagnosed with autism is required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs
