Special Education Teacher

An opportunity is available for a Middle School Special Education Co-Teacher to support students from November through February on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an educator passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments and dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs achieve their full potential.

• Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to parents and team members
• Provide direct instruction and support in a co-teaching classroom setting
• Assist in maintaining a positive, organized, and supportive classroom environment

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably in special education settings
• Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral supports
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
