Certified Medical Assistant

The role you'll contribute: The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards.

• The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards.
• Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider.
• Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.

• Minimum qualifications: High School Grad or Equiv
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA, or
• American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or
• American Medical Technologists (AMT), or
• National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA), or
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or
• National Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Asst (NRCMA)
