Journey Locksmith

WSDOT is currently seeking a Journey-Level locksmith to provide maintenance and repairs on vessels and terminal mechanical and access control assemblies and mechanical locksets.

• Fabricate, catalog, and issue keys
• Maintain accurate security records
• Maintain accurate record of routine maintenance and repairs made on vessels and Terminals
• Repair and provide routine maintenance for marine vessels and facility mechanical and electronic locksets and electric door strikes
• Repair/replace worn cores and springs
• Troubleshoot TWIC readers

• Certified technical training/degree to work with access control systems
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with access control systems
• Ability to read prints
• Ability to work well independently and in a diverse team setting
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License
• Valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
