About the role
Soliant in Mount Pleasant, WI is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school health team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with state law and school policy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA.
- Develop, implement, and monitor health care plans for students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies, seizures).
- Support communicable disease prevention and control within the school.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to address student health needs.
- Participate in health screenings, immunization compliance checks, and health education activities.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency care procedures.
- Promote student attendance by addressing health-related barriers to learning.
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license (required).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- Experience in pediatric, community health, or school nursing (preferred).
- Knowledge of public health principles and school health regulations.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and families.
