Budget Analyst 4 w/in-training, Financial Services Division

Provides budget analysis, consultation, interpretation and other assistance

• Provides budget analysis, consultation, interpretation and other assistance
• Analyzes and evaluates data for entry into budget analysis and tracking systems
• Makes recommendations for allocations which balance to appropriations correctly
• Creates other spreadsheets, reports, and presentations for budget/financial reporting and tracking
• Reviews processes and makes proposals for procedural improvements and documenting of AGO budget practices

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, accounting, economics or statistics
• Five years of professional experience in budgets, management or program analysis
• Demonstrated expert level experience with one or more of the following
• Minimum of four years in Washington State Government with experience in systems, accounting, budgeting and operations
• Experience with cost allocation methodologies
• Experience with timekeeping systems that are used to record time worked and to create billings to customers
• Use database software, such as Microsoft Access, to create template-based databases and design simple tables, queries, data entry forms, and/or reports
