Special Education Teacher

A Special Education Teacher position is available within an elementary school setting in Peoria, AZ. This contract role is scheduled for the current school year (CSY) and offers a unique opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic educational environment.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Deliver specialized instruction that accommodates different learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning and progress.
• Monitor and assess student performance, maintaining accurate records and adapting teaching methods as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a supportive learning atmosphere.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and staff.
