Radiation Therapist

Radiation Therapist / Johnstown, PA | Lifepoint Health

• Administers radiation therapy treatments
• Insures proper positioning and exposure to patients
• Maintains the required treatment records
• Performs simulations and assist with CT simulations
• Reviews weekly physician reports
• Fabricates electron shielding blocks
• Takes portal images
• Performs quality assurance on patient charts
• Schedules patients for daily treatment/simulation
• Prepares charts in anticipation of chart rounds and quality assurance weekly
• Maintains stock as needed in the technical section
• Closes out patient chart in ARIA when patients complete treatment
• Performs daily QA and spot checks prior to treating patients
• Assists the radiation physicist/dosimetrist with non-complicated procedures

• Completed Radiation Therapy Technology training at an Approved program by the American Society of Radiologic Technology
• Complete Radiation Therapist certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within one year of employment
