Special Ed Teacher | Barnwell, South Carolina

This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position at an elementary school located in Barnwell, SC, with a contract term running through the next school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support in a 4th grade resource room setting.

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to maximize student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Participate in meetings and maintain compliance with special education policies and procedures.
• Support Extended School Year (ESY) programs as offered.

• Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource room environment.
• Strong knowledge of special education best practices and legal requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt to individual student needs.
