About the role
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems throughout the facility. Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems. Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, independently or in collaboration with internal/external trades. Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Documents and maintains records of inspections and work performed pursuant to departmental policies and warranty/vendor requirements. Requisitions materials and supplies, maintaining inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks. Responds to emergency calls in a timely manner to address urgent maintenance issues. Coordinates with vendors and subcontractors to ensure effective collaboration and completion of tasks. Provides on-the-job skills training to enhance team capabilities and ensure proper procedures are followed. Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions. Ensures compliance with safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency. Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
