About the role
Ascension’s Actuarial team is seeking an Actuary to support our risk adjustment coding efforts. This is a great opportunity to apply your risk adjustment expertise to a mission-driven organization that is working to transform its care delivery processes. Candidates should have expertise with Medicare risk adjustment - ideally both actuarial and operational aspects. Additionally, candidates should have experience with the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) or other value-based contracts. Summary of Core Accountabilities: Develop risk adjustment insights & analyses for all lines of business (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial), including HCC recapture rate opportunities, new KPIs that could be tracked and monitored, and forecasted impact on VBC financial results Determine risk adjustment trend drivers, including changes in model version, changes in risk mix, and KPI performance Evaluate risk adjustment interventions, including provider education, patient outreach, HCC gap closer Track leading indicators through vendor platform & integrate findings into opportunity analyses Presenting analysis & findings to stakeholders, including operations, strategy, and finance leadership Requirements License / Certification / Registration: Associate Certification credentialed from the Society of Actuaries obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) is preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Experience: 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred. Additional Preferences Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or related field Associate Certification credentialed from the Society of Actuaries obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required Fellow of the Society of Actuaries - Preferred 5-7 years total work experience - Highly Preferred
Responsibilities

Requirements
