About the role
A K-12 school located in Laurel, MD, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language support throughout the academic year (CSY) on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to determine student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student performance.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students with a range of speech and language disorders.
Requirements
- Current state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a K-12 school setting.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Ability to engage students effectively and adapt therapeutic approaches to individual needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators and families.
- Familiarity with educational regulations and documentation requirements.
