Pharmacy Technician II

The Pharmacy Technician serves as a part of the healthcare team at Piedmont Medical Center and collaborates with other team members to provide optimal care

• Facilitates the accurate and safe preparation, distribution and control of medications
• Assists pharmacists in preparing, labeling and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and supplies, receiving, sorting, and stocking medications and supplies
• Bills and credits medications to patients
• As a Technician II designated Pharmacy Technician, the pharmacy team member has expanded job responsibilities and requirements that are expected to be performed on a regular basis to maintain proficiency in addition to those specified for Technician I

• Minimum of two years in any setting with one year of experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Current SC Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern license required
• SC State-Certified Pharmacy Technician registration preferred
• National Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB) preferred
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required
