Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE)

A full-time Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher position is available for the current school year in a K-12 school setting located in Philadelphia, PA. This contract role requires onsite participation and offers a dynamic opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students across all grade levels.

• Develop and implement individualized adaptive physical education programs tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjust instructional methods as needed, and communicate effectively with parents and school staff.

• Valid Pennsylvania Adaptive Physical Education (APE) certification or a combination of Pennsylvania Special Education and Physical Education certifications.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a special education or adaptive physical education setting.
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and inclusive teaching strategies.
