A nursing opportunity is available in Kansas City, KS, within a Surgical Specialty Unit (SSU) that focuses on specialized post-operative care.

• Managing a 20-bed private unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (5:1 when working with a patient care technician).
• Providing comprehensive post-operative care involving advanced skills such as ostomy management and irrigation, nasogastric tube (NGT) placement, Foley catheter insertion and maintenance, central line management, JP drain care, wound management, IV starts, blood administration, and nutritional supplementation including TPN and G/J tube handling.

• Current RN licensure with med-surg experience
• Strong understanding of post-operative care protocols
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
