Mammography Coordinator

The Breast Imaging Coordinator will interface with the breast health team and assist with the coordination of all aspects of screening mammography; diagnostic imaging; clinical evaluation; support services and education for women receiving services at the Imaging Center.

• Facilitates an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care throughout the diagnostic continuum.
• Educates, recruits, tracks, and follows up with women who receive abnormal breast cancer screening results to ensure access to diagnostic evaluation and biopsy if needed.
• Contacts referring clinicians when patients need further diagnostic evaluation or breast biopsy.
• Monitors patient scheduling and preparation for radiological guided breast biopsy, including MRI, PEM, ultrasound, and stereotactic core biopsy.
• Ensures patient understanding of breast biopsy procedures and assists with imaging breast biopsies as needed.

• High School Grad or Equivalent Required
• 3 years of relevant experience in complex mammography exams/procedures including, but not limited to, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Breast localization procedures.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
• Registered Mammographer (RTMARRT) Required
