Critical Environment Technician (CET)

As a Critical Environment Technician (CET) in Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will help to maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our datacenters up and running.

• Maintains critical infrastructure that keeps datacenters up and running
• Performs basic monitoring and inspection
• Performs various types of maintenance
• Develops methods of operating procedures (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensures safety and security requirements are followed and met
• Troubleshoots equipment and systems independently
• Documents issues found in troubleshooting process
• Prepares and submits required reports
• Coordinates activities and associated schedules with contractors
• Performs inspections of equipment in a facility
• Monitors the performance from central monitoring locations
• Escalates per applicable policies and standards

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Ability to travel 0-25% of the time
