About the role
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide vital support within a K-12 school setting in Baltimore, MD. This contract position spans the current school year and focuses on delivering speech therapy services to students across various grade levels, assisting them in overcoming communication challenges to enhance academic success and social interaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Deliver direct therapy sessions tailored to student goals and curriculum standards.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting consistent with school policies and professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and ongoing professional development activities.
Requirements
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with relevant licensure.
- Experience working within school settings, preferably across K-12 levels.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development as it relates to educational outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
