Lead Specialist, Bakery/Kitchen and Commercial Equipment

Lead a team to maintain, service, rebuild, troubleshoot, repair, and operate all cooking related equipment and refrigeration as it pertains to the continuous smooth operation of Universal Orlando. Including, but not limited to industrial kitchen and bakery equipment, propane and natural gas, and electrical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and rehab all kitchen equipment back to manufacturer’s specifications. Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of department and employees by performing the following duties: Plans and delegates work tasks. Delegates work assignments and communicates performance expectations among qualified crewmembers. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper completion of tasks. Communicates and coordinates with other departments or crafts as needed. Communicates resource needs, work plans and Team Member concerns to Supervision. Provides two-way communications between work team, supervisor, and other management. Leads work startup and stoppage and schedules breaks.

• Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of department and employees

• 6+ years’ equivalent experience with Commercial/Industrial Bakery, Production Kitchen, Laundry and refrigeration-associated equipment
• High school degree or GED is required
• Technical school is preferred
• Associate degree (AA) is preferred
