5th Grade Special Education Teacher

A special education teaching opportunity is available in Norristown, PA, at an elementary school serving K-8 students. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 12 and is focused exclusively on teaching 5th grade students with behavioral and emotional disabilities. Instruction will involve both push-in and pull-out methods to support students’ individual learning needs.

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with behavioral and emotional challenges.
• Manage a 5th grade caseload within a K-8 school environment.
• Implement push-in and pull-out teaching strategies as appropriate.
• Collaborate with staff to address student needs and progress.

• Pennsylvania Special Education certification preferred (Instructional I or II K-12 SPED).
• Emergency SPED certification holders accepted, with preference for candidates having 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in special education settings.
