Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and advise management regarding PREA, including monitoring and review of sexual abuse incident investigation outcomes.
  • Collect, analyze, and submit data of reported sexual abuse incidents.
  • Review submitted reports of sexual abuse and ensure all required documents pertinent to federal and state reporting standards are completed within the required time frames.
  • Complete fact finding to ensure reporting information is complete.
  • Act as liaison for supervisory staff regarding reports of sexual abuse allegations.
  • Perform investigations on behalf of management to determine outcomes.
  • Review and update local Policy annually for changes in standards and practice.
  • Coordinate with management to identify opportunities, concerns, and issues related to reports of sexual abuse and make sound decisions regarding youth safety and staff accountability.
  • Provide PREA training.
  • Utilize process improvement methods including PREA self-assessment results.
  • Ensure all PREA standards throughout the facility are followed.
  • Prepare quarterly self-assessment and annual internal audit.
  • Collect and maintain all paperwork and data for external audit, complete corrective action plan.
  • Determine areas for improvement and provide recommendations for training and resources to the manager and associate superintendent.
  • Assist other JR facilities with internal assessment reviews.

Requirements

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience to equal seven years.
  • OR A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or a related field, AND three years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.
  • OR A Master's Degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or a related field, AND two years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.
