About the role
Under general supervision, uses an electrocardiograph to record variations in the action of the heart muscle for use in the diagnosis of heart ailments in both in-patient and out-patient setting
Responsibilities
- Greets patients in a pleasant and professional manner
- Prepares and explains procedures to patient
- Operates EKG equipment by applying lead placements to patients
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year of experience (of at least 1,060 hours) as an EKG Technician
- Recent graduate (within the last year) of a certified EKG technician program with externship (of at least 160 hours)
