DHH Teacher - Deaf and Hard of Hearing Educator

We are seeking certified DHH teachers who can provide high-quality instruction to students with hearing loss through virtual platforms.

• Develop and implement IEPs addressing language, communication, and academic needs
• Provide direct instruction in literacy development for deaf/hard of hearing learners
• Teach communication strategies and self-advocacy skills
• Consult with general education teachers on accommodations and deaf education strategies
• Coordinate with audiologists and speech-language pathologists
• Support families in understanding their child's hearing loss and educational needs
• Monitor auditory technology function and troubleshoot basic issues
• Assess student progress using appropriate tools for deaf/hard of hearing populations
• Create accessible instructional materials
• Maintain detailed documentation of services and student growth

• Active Nevada Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher licensure (mandatory)
• Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field (required)
• Minimum two years of experience teaching students with hearing loss in school settings (required)
• Knowledge of language acquisition in deaf/hard of hearing children
• Understanding of assistive listening technologies
• Proficiency in sign language preferred but not required depending on student communication needs
• Experience with virtual instruction platforms
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
