Special Ed Teacher | Calumet City, Illinois

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 5th grade resource classroom at an elementary school in Calumet City, IL. This contract role spans the current school year and offers an opportunity to support and enhance the learning experience for students with special needs in an inclusive environment.

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of 5th grade students in a resource setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes growth and development

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
