About the role

Provides clinical leadership to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff, engages staff in the use of evidence-based best practices, promotes a culture of continuous practice improvement, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical leadership to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff
  • Engages staff in the use of evidence-based best practices
  • Promotes a culture of continuous practice improvement
  • Provides mentorship for new staff
  • Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the clinical aspects of the nurses
  • Identifies performance gaps and works in collaboration with the Nurse Manager to create learning goals
  • Responsible for providing expertise, training and mentoring staff in the applicable region
  • Evaluates and monitors for conduct that is safe, legal and ethical
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent customer service
  • Manages time and resources effectively to meet objectives and maintain fiscal responsibility in clinics
  • Identifies and coordinates activities with operations and management
  • Conducts quality audits to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Contributes to critical incident and complaint investigations related to nursing practices
  • Maintains awareness of current trends and legislation affecting the nursing care practices
  • Creates a draft schedule for each clinic within their region
  • Acts as a change management champion for INVIVA

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • Specific to the region responsible for 5 or more years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a clinical medical or hospital environment
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to identify key issues and creatively overcome internal challenges
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  • Ability to lead and manage change in a positive manner
  • Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Valid driver’s license to meet travel requirements
  • Working knowledge of Provincial Regulatory requirements
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
