About the role
Provides clinical leadership to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff, engages staff in the use of evidence-based best practices, promotes a culture of continuous practice improvement, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provides clinical leadership to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff
- Engages staff in the use of evidence-based best practices
- Promotes a culture of continuous practice improvement
- Provides mentorship for new staff
- Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the clinical aspects of the nurses
- Identifies performance gaps and works in collaboration with the Nurse Manager to create learning goals
- Responsible for providing expertise, training and mentoring staff in the applicable region
- Evaluates and monitors for conduct that is safe, legal and ethical
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent customer service
- Manages time and resources effectively to meet objectives and maintain fiscal responsibility in clinics
- Identifies and coordinates activities with operations and management
- Conducts quality audits to ensure compliance with company policies
- Contributes to critical incident and complaint investigations related to nursing practices
- Maintains awareness of current trends and legislation affecting the nursing care practices
- Creates a draft schedule for each clinic within their region
- Acts as a change management champion for INVIVA
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse
- Specific to the region responsible for 5 or more years of professional experience
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a clinical medical or hospital environment
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Ability to identify key issues and creatively overcome internal challenges
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Ability to lead and manage change in a positive manner
- Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
- Valid driver’s license to meet travel requirements
- Working knowledge of Provincial Regulatory requirements
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
