Resource Patient Companion PRN Shift Varies

Primary function of position provides ongoing observation either through in person or through Camera/Monitor technology of patients on suicide prevention watch as a result of identified risk factor and high risk patient fall risk, and monitors patients for signs of detrition, agitation, impulsiveness and/or attempts to get of bed/chair unassisted, for pulling on lines, tubes or other medical devices and for vomiting in patients wearing C-pap or Bi-pap masks.

• Provides ongoing observation either through in person or through Camera/Monitor technology of patients on suicide prevention watch as a result of identified risk factor and high risk patient fall risk, and monitors patients for signs of detrition, agitation, impulsiveness and/or attempts to get of bed/chair unassisted, for pulling on lines, tubes or other medical devices and for vomiting in patients wearing C-pap or Bi-pap masks.
• Establishes/maintains effective communication channels with bedside direct patient care staff, reports potentially dangerous changes in patient behavior, and escalates communications as necessary using established protocols and best judgment.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Any combination of related experience/education that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities to perform the duties of the position.
