About the role

A full-time special education teaching position is available to support K-12 students within a contract role for the current school year. This role focuses on delivering specialized educational instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have equitable access to the curriculum and a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards; Provide direct instruction and interventions to students in elementary or middle school caseloads; Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress; Monitor and document student performance and adjust strategies accordingly; Participate in meetings, including IEP reviews and team collaborations. Qualifications: Valid Special Education teaching certification; Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in elementary or middle school settings; Strong knowledge of special education laws, accommodations, and instructional strategies; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
