Responsibilities

  • Serve as the WRP lead in the South Puget Sound, driving implementation of the WRP objectives on the ground within the Nisqually and Puyallup-Chambers Creek Basins
  • Plan and implement Watershed Resilience Program projects and initiatives
  • Participate in team coordination, communications, and strategic planning
  • Coordinate with Tribal co-stewards and internal and external partners including state agencies, local governments, conservation districts, and nonprofits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resource or environmental science, natural resource or environmental planning, or public administration or public policy with an environmental emphasis, or closely related field AND at least two years of professional experience in natural resource or environmental science, natural resource or environmental planning, or public administration or environmental policy;
  • Experience leading and facilitating an interdisciplinary team or work groups to achieve desired and productive outcomes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, or equivalent, programs (including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to present complex or controversial information in a way that is understandable and nonconfrontational.
