Responsibilities
- Architect resilient-by-design infrastructure solutions tailored to mission platforms and systems integrators in disconnected, classified, and sovereign environments.
- Lead technical delivery of Azure infrastructure services including compute, networking, storage, hybrid cloud, and Azure Government capabilities.
- Drive adoption of Unified Azure ES Offers, MACC agreements, and Azure Consumption Plans across Tier 1 defense accounts.
- Align technical engagements with mission outcomes, including modernization of legacy systems and secure migration strategies.
- Identify and recommend next best workloads and Enhanced Solutions to accelerate customer value realization.
- Provide deep technical guidance on ITAR, DFARS, FedRAMP High, and Zero Trust compliance for Azure Gov and Secret environments.
- Lead engagements addressing nation-state threats, secure enclave deployments, and cybersecurity incident response.
- Act as a player/coach, mentoring team members and contributing to team-wide skill development.
- Demonstrate inclusive leadership and participate in ERG/D&I initiatives.
- Operate with high proactivity, anticipating challenges and contributing to internal and external technical communities.
- Collaborate with defense industry customers and partners to understand their unique business and technical needs.
- Facilitate technical workshops, planning sessions, and solution assessments to support cloud migration and modernization in the defense sector.
- Offer in-depth technical guidance across infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and governance with a strong emphasis on compliance and regulatory standards relevant to the Defense Industrial Base.
- Work closely with account teams, engineering, and support functions to guarantee successful solution delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and new technologies in cloud infrastructure relevant to defense and mission assurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure architecture, cloud computing, or similar technical roles.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- Deep proficiency in Microsoft Azure infrastructure services—compute, networking, storage, hybrid cloud.
- Experience with Azure Government, FedRAMP High, and Zero Trust architectures.
- Familiarity with disconnected, classified, and sovereign environments.
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Azure services, architectural patterns, and solution design.
- Comprehensive understanding of networking, virtualization, identity, security, and regulatory compliance, especially as it pertains to defense industry requirements.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure projects within enterprise or mission-critical environments.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP, CCSP) are highly regarded.
- Prior experience supporting defense sector customers, including systems integrators and mission platforms.
- Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions in high-consequence environments.
- Background in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures, particularly within the defense sector.
- Experience with DevOps methodologies, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive influence across organizational boundaries.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
