Special Education Teacher

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school in Deville, LA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within the special education program.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement.

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students across K-12 grade levels.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
