Associate General Counsel- Commercial

Reporting to the Head of Legal for Lexington and AIG’s North America Retail Property organizations, and as part of the North America Insurance Legal team, this role will provide day-to-day legal business partner support to the senior leadership team of AIG’s leading North America Wholesale and Retail Property organizations

• Providing day-to-day legal business partner support to the senior leadership team of AIG’s leading North America Wholesale and Retail Property organizations
• Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and product centers of expertise with respect to negotiating, drafting and/or reviewing commercial property insurance policies
• Researching, analyzing and monitoring the legal/regulatory issues and trends impacting or potentially impacting surplus lines and admitted commercial property insurance products and distribution of same

• Familiarity with property and casualty insurance products, including commercial property, surplus lines, the business of insurance and insurance regulation
• 3+ years of experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department
• JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials
• Admitted to practice in at least one state
