Responsibilities
- Risk analysis and underwriting of energy & engineering risks
- Renewing and new business accounts
- Utilize and master use of the various underwriting tools
- Interface with various internal stakeholders
- Manage broker expectations
- Manage reinsurance
- Timely reporting of post-bind production
- Assist the administration team
- Build and strengthen external relationships
- Represent AIG at industry events
- Contribute to the branch and department financial goals
- Assist with projects
- Attend regular branch and national level meetings
- Represent AIG in conjunction with AIG risk engineers
- Maintain documents and files
Requirements
- Ability and desire to develop broad Mining, Power and/or Renewables underwriting capabilities
- Preferably a degree holder in Engineering, economics, law or other appropriate discipline
- Ability to develop relationships with clients and brokers
- Client focused with excellent relationship management, customer service, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
- Capability to leverage data and analytics
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Highly motivated and ability to motivate others
- Results orientated
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
