Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and oversight on the federal acquisition process for federally funded transportation projects
  • Ensure local agencies comply with state and federal regulations
  • Provide high-level technical assistance, compliance monitoring, certification reviews, training, and project support to local agency staff
  • Direct local agency engineering/technical staff who are on Approved ROW Procedures performing the Project Administration function

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of technical engineering practices, procedures, and standards relevant to federally funded transportation projects
  • Knowledge of the right of way process, including eminent domain acquisitions
  • Broad knowledge of appraisal, title, acquisition/negotiations, relocation, and property management as it relates to federally funded eminent domain transportation projects
