About the role
This full-time position offers an opportunity to support high school students as a licensed school psychologist. The role focuses on conducting psychological evaluations, preparing detailed reports, and providing some counseling services to students. You will collaborate closely with the special education team to develop strategies that support student success and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Write clear, detailed reports based on evaluation results
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions as needed
- Participate in meetings with educators, administrators, and special education staff to discuss student progress and accommodations
- Manage a caseload centered around high school students with diverse educational and emotional requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Requirements
- Valid license or certification as a school psychologist
- Experience working within secondary education settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and report-writing skills
- Ability to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Familiarity with special education policies and practices
