Special Education Teacher

This contract position is for a full-time special education teacher at an elementary school, running from November 17, 2025, through May 22, 2026.

• Managing behavior in the classroom effectively
• Providing specialized instruction within a Mildly Mentally Disabled (MIMD) classroom
• Collaborating with general education staff and participating in team planning
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Working alongside other special education classes with Developmentally Delayed and Moderate Intellectual Disability programs

• Active South Carolina Teaching Certification with a Multi-Category (Multi-Cat) Endorsement
• Experience in special education, specifically with developmentally delayed and mildly mentally disabled student populations
• Skill in classroom behavior management and de-escalation techniques
