About the role
Reporting directly to the NAM Head of Law Firm Management, the role will be responsible for supporting the contracting of claims Law Firms, engaging in the collection of Law Firm due diligence, issuing contract documentation, supporting commercial negotiations, and storing and uploading all commercial agreements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in end to end acquisition of smaller Law Firms with an annual spend of less than $500K for Insurance Claims processing and adjudication commodities.
- Negotiate commercial contracts from AIG’s Law Firm contract template;
- Participate and lead Law Firm pricing negotiations;
- Document and summarize the agreed commercial terms accurately;
- Collect and store all required due diligence documentation in line with the team’s standard operating process.
- Support Claims Law Firm Managers with spend data analysis, data queries, and reporting, which support line of business Law Firm strategies or complex / high value Law Firm negotiations;
- Documentation and website updates, keeping business facing documents / webpages which reflect AIG’s commercial positions with Law Firms accurate and current;
- Follow legal guidance and other support groups to ensure completion of acceptable contracts;
- Perform other ad hoc assignments to enable AIG to more cost-effectively procure services;
- Monitoring and responding to inquiries received by stakeholders and Law Firms in team’s inbox.
Requirements
- 1+ years of legal, insurance or financial services working with data.
- Ability to perform complex data analysis, report on spend analysis, KPI’s, savings, trends, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience;
- Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning (quantitative and qualitative) that can be applied in a problem-solving scenario.
- Strong organizational, customer service, leadership/influencing and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- Experience working with commercial negotiations and drafting contract.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc, MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
