Accounting Lead, Google Public Sector, Controllership

Accounting Lead, Google Public Sector, Controllership is the accounting function supporting Google Cloud's US Public Sector business. We develop and implement processes that enable economies of scale.

• Generate accounting entries in Deltek Costpoint to support GPS close.
• Develop accounting processes for new business motions and products specific to the public sector business.
• Partner with public sector sellers and finance leaders on agreement shaping to achieve desired financial outcomes.
• Perform control activities to ensure GPS financials are reported timely and accurately.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
